digfone is operated by Colabtec Digital LTDA, Brazilian company register (CNPJ) 65.787.255/0001-91. By using the service, you agree to what is set out here.

What the service does

Audio and video calls in the browser, with translated captions while the person is speaking, across the 60 languages listed on the site. You choose the two languages and send a link; the other person accepts.

What it does not guarantee

Transcription and translation are produced by automatic speech recognition. Plainly, that means:

• accuracy varies with background noise, accent and overlapping speech;
• some language pairs work better than others;
• captions may contain errors, and you should not treat them as an official record without checking.

The service is provided as is. We assume no obligation of result as to the accuracy of the translation, and we are not liable for business decisions taken on the basis of the captions alone.

Your account

You are responsible for access to your account and for whom you invite to your calls. Tell us if you suspect misuse.

Acceptable use

Do not use digfone for:

• illegal activity, threats, harassment or fraud;
• recording or transcribing someone without their knowledge, where the law requires notice;
• attempting to get around plan limits, reselling access, or automating calls in bulk.

We may suspend accounts that breach this, with notice where possible.

Plans and billing

Your purchase grants online access to Digfone software with the features and limits of the plan or package purchased. Credit packages become available after payment confirmation and are consumed through use. Tax invoicing starts when the contracted access is made available and the required details are complete; the invoice is delivered after municipal authorization. You can complete or correct these details in your dashboard tax profile. The withdrawal period neither postpones tax invoicing nor becomes shorter because of it.

Plans and limits are on the home page. A subscription renews automatically until you cancel, and cancellation takes effect at the end of the period already paid for: there is no pro-rata refund, and access continues until then.

Right of withdrawal: within the first 7 days after purchase you may withdraw and be refunded, under art. 49 of the Brazilian Consumer Protection Code. Just write to [email protected].

If the list price changes, the amount you contracted stays the same for as long as the subscription is active.

People who join through the link

The invited person needs no account and pays nothing. They are also a data subject for the conversation data, with the rights described in the privacy policy.

Interruptions

We carry out maintenance and outages can happen. We give advance notice when maintenance is scheduled.

Termination

You can delete your account from your account page, and doing so deletes the conversations you hosted. If you have a paid subscription you must cancel it first: that block exists so the card is not charged for an account that no longer exists. Note that cancelling does not end the subscription immediately: it runs to the end of the period already paid for, and deletion becomes available from then on. If you need it removed sooner, write to [email protected].

We may end the service with 30 days’ notice, refunding on a pro-rata basis any period already paid for and not used.

Governing law and jurisdiction

Brazilian law applies. The courts of the judicial district of São Paulo are elected, without prejudice to the consumer’s right to bring proceedings in the courts of their own domicile.
